This course involves students in the creation of written, photographic and multimedia content for local non-profit organizations in communities adjacent to the CSUN campus. In Spring 2023 we will be working with the Tatavium Nation Tribe Links to an external site. in San Fernandoto create archival records, oral histories, photographic documentation of historic sites, and to help fill their general media needs. This will be a CSUN Service Learning Course, funded through a grant from the Office of Community Engagement. Depending on the students’ own skill set (broadcast, print, photography, public relations) each participant will create content to meet the objectives of our class.
