How to get citations while searching?

Get an automatically generated citation in many of our databases Links to an external site..

Look for a tools section in databases to email the article, get the permanent links/persistent URLs,  and  retrieve the citation. Sometimes you can email both the material and citation at the same time.

Double check that entire citation is correct using the APA Quick Guide or jump to the next page.

 

Examples

Not  to all databases have the automatically generated citation feature. When this happens, make sure to save a record of the permanent links/persistent URL and use the APA Quick Guide.

PubMed

Make sure for PubMed, you are accessing its new website Links to an external site. to use the citation feature. You can also check out its help page Links to an external site. for more information. EBSCO Database

Some databases may not have identified if its APA citation is the 7th edition. You can still use the version they have and refer to the APA Quick Guide to double check.
