OVERVIEW: Find Sources

Message from your librarian: It's normal to feel lost or anxious when finding sources for your research assignment. Check out this module to learn the resources and tips to do this more effectively!

What this module is about:

Do you know Google is not always the most efficient and effective way to do research and find information for your professional life?

Do you know you can access e-books, journal, newspapers, videos, and all of the resources available to you as a CSUN student for free from the library? (Check Out How-To Tutorials)

Learning what the Library has to offer and how OneSearch, the Library's version of Google, works will help you find abundant, relevant, and credible sources throughout your program necessary both for your coursework and for your future career.

After doing this module, you will be able to:

  • navigate OneSearch to search for resources at CSUN and other CSU campuses
  • use filter, pin, and other features of OneSearch to cite, save, and email the information sources you like
  • use the Interlibrary Loan service to obtain online materials which are needed for research but are not available in the Library
