Course Description: 114B is a class to teach you how to write or to refine the writing skills you might already have. You will explore and gain an understanding of academic writing, making and supporting an argument, relating reading to writing, learning basic research skills to be able to support your papers, learning how to connect social elements and society to your writing, and learning the ability to communicate clear thoughts. We will also explore what different genres of writing are and how they are relevant to your experiences as CSUN students.
