3.3 OFFICE OF EQUITY & DIVERSITY

The Office of Equity & Compliance  

The team in the Office of Equity and Compliance focuses on prevention, accountability and compliance with nondiscrimination law.  They investigate complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation based on protected categories and issue written findings. They also conduct primary and secondary prevention work and de-escalation.  They can be contacted at x2077 or equityandcompliance@csun.edu.

Title IX: Gender Equity and Sexual Misconduct

Information includes rights and options for survivors, reporting options and training. Mandatory Reporting 

All faculty members, except under certain narrow circumstances, are Mandatory Reporters. That means that any faculty member who knows or has reason to know of allegations or acts that may violate CSUN’s nondiscrimination, harassment or retaliation policies must promptly inform the Office of Equity and Diversity.  Faculty members are required to disclose all information, including the names of the people involved, even where the person has requested anonymity.  The Office of Equity and Diversity will determine whether confidentiality is appropriate given the circumstances of each incident.
